Some appliances are worth putting a little money into. Some aren't worth the money the manufacturers put into producing the darn thing, but that's a different story for a different day. General maintenance items can get pricey at times, (belts, couplings, water valves, pumps, drum rollers, elements, thermostats, fuses) but by putting that money into a decent appliance it may last even longer than the new appliance you go out and buy.
